Non- vaccinated children are much healthier
Posted: 30 Nov 06 10:19 AM

Neither of my children are vaccinated (boy age 14, girl age 11) and they are far healthier than their vaccinated cousins who have had all kinds of allergic, atopic (skin), asthmatic and even behavioral problems. I care for quite a few Amish families around Lancaster, Pennsylvania and the Amish have no autistic children - even though by statistical analysis they should have hundreds. The Amish, as a whole, do not vaccinate. This has been noticed by other writes and researchers looking at Amish and other non-vaccinated populations. What researchers continually discover is that non-vaccinated children are far healthier than vaccinated children. An interesting side note is that childhood diseases have a positive benefit - they prime and mature the child's immune system so they are better protected throughout life. A study in the journal Medical Hypothesis found that children who had infectious diseases in childhood had less cancer as adults. I am convinced the benefits of non-vaccinating (healthier, happier children) should be known to all parents. I'm sure few people would have their children vaccinated if they know this. I agree with Ted. I have three children aged 12, 10 and 7 with number four on the way.

I have not vaccinated my children nor exposed them to any kind of pharmacuticals. My children have never had calpol and only one has had a course of antibiotics after contracting a stafflicoci infection from hospital ( following a hernia operation as a 3 year old). He then went on to develop type 1 diabetes which I beleive was directly related to this fierce infection he had. He is insulin dependant but well controlled and on an extremely low dose for his age and size. I believe this is partly because he leads such a healthy life.

My children are rarely sick  have had very few days off school, sleep well, eat well and generally recover vey quickly if they do come down with a cold or bug. They have all had measles and chicken pox under the age of five.

I am often treated agressively when I mention that I have not vaccinated my children it is so interesting that many people appear to be affronted by it. I am not a hippy the whole idea just simply isn't logical to me.

I would be interested to share thoughts with others who have had a similar experience to mine.

Hello...as a parent who has not vaccinated I am also convinced that this is the healthier option. Is someone somewhere co-ordinating case studies \ evidence etc? I have just started a network of parents called Arnica who meet to share experiences and learn more about natural immunity. 5 groups so far in different areas. How can we help with any study?
